WELCOME

This blog will give you information about the comedy night held on the first Tuesday of every month. The venue is The Fox & Grapes pub in Fox Street, Preston and is easily accessible by public transport or car. Best of all, admission is absolutely FREE.

The event is compered by MC Alan Donegan (pictured)

We will post pictures of previous evenings as well as details of forthcoming acts. Copyright permitting we may even post short video clips of the performers in full flow.

It would be really helpful if you attend a performance for you to let us know what you thought about the comedians, the organisation, the atmosphere, the venue - even the beer!

Dave Twentyman

Currently riding high on the UK comedy scene, Dave is one of the most affable and naturally gifted comedians you'll see this year. Dave's strengths are his improvisation and interaction delivered with genuine warmth and charm. Enjoyed by audiences young and old, he is one of the best things to come out of St Helens from a long list that already includes Rugby League, Johnny Vegas, Glass, The Transport Museum and Margaret off the Weakest Link.

Dom Woodward

Dom has quickly risen to become a regular performer on the stand-up circuit. His confident and cheeky (sometimes grumpy) persona charms audiences as he paints images of the quirky people he meets. His set is a fast paced ride through his life and the things that annoy him most. He explains in side splitting detail why he hates driving, gives an invaluable lesson on how to steal from the Post Office and reveals all about his days behind the McDonalds counter.

Line Up Confirmed for 6th May

The next FREE comedy night at the Fox and Grapes will feature two rising stars of the comedy circuit, Dom Woodward and Dave Twentyman.
